Awesome.. now i can play the waw classic & call of the dead LAN games..hmmm that's going to be a lot of backing up to do.but what about trophies, is there a way to keep those on a cfw or will i just have to lose them with the format?

Does this work the other way around aswell though?Can we transfer hacked data to OFW?This looks pretty cool, but I dunno about reformatting and all that.

I was just about to buy another PS3, I had a bunch of shared games/dlc from my old machine before I put CFW on it that I thought was good as gone, can I transfer this to my new PS3 now ? (I thought you had to deactivate accounts via PSN before you could do the Ethernet data transfer ?).

@LKJHGFDSA, from what i understand so far is that it will also work from cfw to ofw.. you will end up with the exact same files on both systems.. the only thing is homebrew apps might not transfer across due to their folder not normally existing or something like that. been looking into this all night ..-real tired now and still don't know for sure how to back up trophies ..i've earned a few platinums and many, many trophies since i jailbreak back in januray.. it would almost make me cry to lose them all.

Because i would like to know if it transfers the cfw trophies!?

Wait.....it doesn't work with rebug but you need their spoofer to do this??? I don't think this can be right....

so what is the use of that? you buy stuff from a legit ofw ps3 and you can move them to your cfw one?
If for example I wanted to get a DLC I can buy that normally from an ofw ps3 and then move the dlc+license on the cfw one?
Or am i completely missing the point here?

So I wanna know this too - does this copy the act.dat etc? Will DLC purchased on 1 now work on the other after doing this??

In fact thinking about this, If it DOES allow DLC > I'm presuming it would only be what was downloaded & activated at the time of transfer. however if you purchased more DLC, just using the PSNDownloader (to catch the .pkg) wouldn't work as it still has to activate the package. So everytime you bought something new, or some new DLC you would have to redo the process right? (That's even IF the activation etc is transferred) ... SO basically, stock up on what ever DLC you wanna buy, then transfer, then set up your CFW install homebrew etc. ... but if you bought new dlc you would have to repeat these steps because it formats the HDD?

Also, would this work from Phat to Slim? (I'm not home till 2moro now otherwise I'd be testing this theory myself instead of just asking)
