PSN doesn't have enough people to just ban like that. Sony hopes that eventually we will update to OFW. Then they don't lost another person on PSN. Only bannings there have been so far are people who cheated. I am not saying it will never happen it is just unlikely and even if it does happen we can change our PS3's ID.

Have anyone tried to change their PS3 ID to something random, then connect to PSN? Does it work?

Sony is concentrating on the PS4 at the moment, I don't see them editing every PSN/PS3 game to resign them with higher FW.

Doesn't matter. Releasing 3.55 didn't magically give us everything we have now because it is possible on lower firmware.

Guys, if I may drop in and comment on my comment, haha!
What I meant was, since we are locked on 3.55 and have no other option but to wait with our hands in begging position and hope someone will throw some new game eboot fixed or we can buy TB and have a little more options [games] and still wait if and when TB team will give us something, the only true chance was psn games eg. all content like themes, DLCs, ps1 games, minis, retail-digital editions. But everyone just kept on waiting and didnt do much except for few real contributors who still purchased psn games or shared their psn accounts so we can all enjoy various content. Now the window is slowly closing, wich was unavoidable, and if we dont come up with some new methods or we dont "pick the lock" we might get stuck again as we did for whole last summer. And it was a such a good run for last six months. Over 500 fixed psn games, DLCs, over 50 minis and 100 ps1 games, many digital edition games, and all given to ps3 community for free.
Dont you want all this to last a little longer?

as kakaroto said. DRM is really only hurting the paying user, the hacker will find his around lol.
(on a side note, blizzard seems to know what they are doing, hosting most of the data online, and pwning people with bad internet toa single player lag-hell)
