The PS3 was designed to recognize keyboards from all regions, but the dev menu was probably only designed to work with US + UK keyboards. I don't think they planned on any of their testers using Russian-English keyboards

Call Of Juarez Bound In Blood
Unlocks DEV_MENU cheats etc Using original game disc
of course with BahumatLord's debugconf.scr
I did because this game won't load from Internal HDD mine
install game data v1.01 or your U.S. region
"EP0001-BLES00556_00-COJBIB0000000020-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg"
and FTP'd debugconf.scr to..
two way possible to put debugconf.scr (works both)
//dev_hdd0/game/BLES00556/USRDIR/game_data/debugconf.scr
or
//dev_hdd0/game/BLES00556/USRDIR/game_data/ps3/debugconf.scr
launch the origilad game from XMB..
maybe work for original console users, if rebuild the .pkg with debugconf.scr
and install it. (need testing)
prolly same way for Call of Juarez-The Cartel
@Szalay - It doesn't overwrite the debugconf.scr when you reboot the game? And yes it should work for both games. Let you in on a little secret - They're identical files, just in different locations. They need to be located in /data for each game but each game has the /data folder in a different place if that makes sense
yeah doesn't overwrite the debugconf.scr when reboot the game !
@Szalay - very cool. Oh by the way, I think I found the debug menu unlock for Yakuza Dead Souls (and possibly the same for the other Yakuza games) It's in Japanese even on the US versions, but the code is there in the dip switch file (like the good old arcade machines - simple on/off 0/1 settings. Gotta do some testing later
"like the good old arcade machines - simple on/off 0/1 settings"
yeah use simple flag,
goood news! so you now debuggin lol, like what i did for consoles
i have edited tons of PS2/xbox1 games .ini etc, to found easy those address with proper value in memory
Well, nobody else has been doing it. Somebody has to![]()
I could always use a second pair of eyes from somebody with skills if you want to help
