A few specifically that had trouble running from ps1_emu.self:

Tony Hawk Pro Skater NTSC (stuttering on FMV video, crashes in-game)
Dead or Alive NTSC (stuttering on cut scenes, interlacing pixallation problems in game)
Return Fire NTSC (Game freezes on Vehicle Selection screen)
Gran Turismo 2 NTSC (stuttering on FMV opening, audio pops and lag in-game)
Wipeout NTSC (locks up at title screen)

All of these work 100% flawless with ps1_netemu.self (either from back-up CD's in mM or as ISOs in Iris.

I'm getting Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 [SLUS-01485] and GT2 to test with.

i've played the original tony hawk fine on my ps3. i have all four for psx on disc and i think i have the second one backed up because of scratches. i'm pretty sure i've beaten all of them with like at least 3 or 4 characters, too, if that applies (4 excluded)

The disc compatibility is usually 100% in multiMAN because it picks the proper emulator to launch the disc with. The issue seems to be with the BIN+CUE file backups and I'll be able to test these two games tomorrow to see what with them.

    from Disc isn't a problem. it's from bin/cue.

I just tested GT2 (Arcade and GT)... Both disc CUE+BIN backups work perfectly... The initial video + music is so cool and I didn't know they did such for PS1 No stuttering or problems. I finished a race and the only problem I noticed was while saving to memory card: the audio stuttered a bit (but I used my SLOWEST usb stick/flash for the tests and not a usb hdd or internal hdd). There was no music stuttering or pops during playback and all was smooth.

My version is a PAL version [SCES_123.80], so all is ok. The interlace artifacts are not cool, but game plays 100%.

May be you can check with the latest mM just to be sure we're on the same page. The latest is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/d2o19b

Also in my case mM switches the display to 50Hz because the game is PAL and the emulator plays in 576p. If your version is NTSC it should run in 1080p @ 60Hz.

Final Fantasy IV [SLUS-01360] is one of those that has issues (Sound distortions, Flashing on certain tiles) playing from the real disc or backup using ps1_emu.self, but is perfectly fine using ps1_netemu.self.

yeah. i would just mount and recreate the image in bin/cue but that's...well, another step. i have dumped quite a bit of my own games and don't just pirate all my roms. i never really gave up the games when i moved onto ps2 and then ps3. i think i actually gave up more ps2 games.

idk where i'm going with this other than i don't really wanna create a bin/cue :P i'm sure support will be added
