Can this unit play all ps3 games discless? I would love to be able to play enslaved on 3.55. (edit: or re-play god of war 3...)
I know ps2 games are not supported discless right now, which is ok even though i have a backwards compatible cechE and a broken blu-ray drive lol
PSN support or online support ?
How come no one ever talks PSP emulation on the PS3? Is it impossible? No one interested? Just wondering as I never see anyone discussing it.
Thats a good point. I'd say its because the resolution of PSP is fairly low, and gameplay would be for lack of a better word, crap. PS2 games can and do employ better game mechanics, so it's on eveyrones to do list. Especially since its a feature that should have been included in all PS3s IMHO.

"that should have been included in all PS3s" I second that.
well i wouldnt mind playing ghouls and ghost psp on my ps3
I just registered in order to comment on this post since I'm sure alot of users have the same problem that I've been having. My Bluray Drive died recently and sadly I couldn't play some cool games (God of War 3 as an example) since many games can't be played discless. Well much to my surprise I just played God of War 3 discless with the newest Cobra update on the 3.55 firmware. I mean.. ps1 iso compatibility is awesome, but this seriously made my day. PS2 would be even cooler if my system supported it, but that's two pluses so far. I've only tried God of War 3 and Heavy Rain so far, and both run perfectly. Will try out more soon.
Zakra, have you FTP'd any PSX games to your PS3 and where did you put them for the Cobra USB Manager to see them??? I've tried Doom and Final Doom, but Cobra USB doesn't recognise them.... Thanks in advance!!!!
I haven't personally ftped anything onto the internal drive, but when I used my external fat32 usb drive, I had to create a folder called "PSXISO" and then just put the isos in that directory without any subfolders. My biggest dilemma was the fact that cobra usb currently only reads CD Images in formats: ISO and BIN/CUE. But after a bit of googling I found out that the free version of MagicISO supports Image converting. I used that to convert all my psx backups into bin/cue.

EDIT: Just found this is the User Guide. Guess it has to be named the same name on the internal drive as well.
Cobra USB Manager uses the following directories to load/write PSX backups:
Thanks man, I tried that and converted the *.img format to an ISO, but then it didn't recognise it...... I then tried to convert it to a *bin/cue, but again no joy..... Probably the images themselves..... Thanks anway Zak!!!
