Greetings to all users
Cool, thanks for the info. Yeah, the backup manager looks very basic, circa November 2010.
I'm going to install the Cobra CFW later tonight. I ordered the Cobra a few months ago from some Chinese dealer. I didn't think I was going to receive it as I never received an email confirmation of my order, but a few weeks later, I received the Cobra in the mail.
I've been sitting on it for a few weeks now waiting for 3.55 support. Since it's finally here, I might as well jump on it. I'll be updating from fw 3.21 (been using the dongle JB method this whole time) with a near launch day US CECHA. I'll let you know how everything goes.
Did you read my previous posts well?
I will quote myself just to be clear
I been in the emulation scene long enough to see things get emulated when people were saying it wasn't possible, of course they didn't know what they were talking about.
Anyway, I understand that the PS3 specs could limit the performance on certain applications, in this case a PS2 emulator would have many complications to handle the Emulation Core + System Core at 100%, and lets not forget that if we apply some "speed hacks" it may gain a bit of speed by reducing the quality, disabling features, checks, reducing the audio quality, etc, but I'm not gonna enter in many details. But the fact that it could be emulated is there.
Time will tell what is possible and what is not.
SeeYa!

Yes it is possible to force the PS3 to run PS2 as I previously mentioned here as well.

I been trying to clarify a few things in my recent posts , that's all.
Emulation of PS2 may sound like forcing the PS3 to run PS2 using the Software method, but its not really the same thing. Emulation allows more flexibility in most cases, and allows you to optimize things that the original hardware was not able to, for example there is a very well known emulator of the Nintendo Wii that allows 1080p, while the original hardware can't handle it.
SeeYa!
