i love this game!!
this is the pattern with homebrew game development, it starts with really simple stuff, then ports of existing games, then original development, and this dev has made some excellent contributions to the scene, keep up the great work!!!
Muny 21, if you think that makes ThatOtherPerson bad games, you are mistaken. You know it's hard to make games even more 3D? stop complaining, and if you want to impose some respect, do some game, and we'll judge. ThatOtherPerson makes great games, homebrew begins like this ... even a simple game of Atari requires effort to be prepared. Stop being proud, man, go and make a game with 3D graphics CODMW3!
yeah!ThatOtherPerson makes awesome games.
2011 Dev of the year
Anyone have an answer to my original post? Before the thread got derailed, lol.
I still haven't played Faceball and hadn't heard of it until after I made this. So no or at least not intentionally. But they do seem to be fairly similar (old school style FPS with yellow smiley face enemies) and you aren't the first person to draw the same comparison. When I posted the DS version on GBAtemp someone else thought it was a Faceball clone.
Just a coincidence then, but you should try it, very fun game. Cool, I'll check this out. Keep up the good work and don't listen to the bs. Your work is appreciated.
Actually games like this, some time ago would be considered, full sized games... look at Wolfenstein and Doom!
I agree the SmileyFaces are not my piece of cake, but the guy works wonders... at least don't talk BS about him... you do a better job than him than comment...
A game like this needs a lot of work, at least it's not a firmware checker with 2 lines of code type of BS!
