i would think it the latter. but then, i wouldn't be surprised if they're keeping it hush until they figure it out. i wouldn't be surprised if they're doing it on purpose to avoid the "eye of sony" (Lord of the Ring moment) from landing on them.
But then, i wouldn't be surprised if the reason they're holding back would be because they lucked out or if they really have discovered the method and is attempting to figure out the best way to use it.
but you never know with sony and their firmware update, no?

If they had the 3.60+ keys there would be a whole bunch of other games that'd work right? But there's only Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 so far. So assuming that its the PSN hack...how exactly is it done? Basically I bought GoW Origins (retail disc) but I don't wanna lose my CFW. Since I bought it, I would like to avoid downloading Duplex's PSN release of the same game. I've been trying to find out exactly how (if) Duplex accomplished the PSN hack with retail games like Battlefield and Uncharted so I could try the same with my retail copy of GoW origins...Maybe a little far fetched but...any ideas?

Duplex use some update before *rack the game, maybe the update o patch came with a firm o key vulnerable o some backdoor
, like psn games. Well, i imaginate that
. i read Uncharted 3 use the tool released for geohotz to sign up the eboot

I dont want to disappoint you, but the only one reason BF3 fixed eboot was released is because BF3 was also released on PSN. There is not going to be 'something' huge until bootrom will be exploited.

Listen - we are all skeptics of Tuhta's work here, don't get me wrong. But skeptics rely on evidence. Instead of dismissing it as fake, why isn't there speculation of how the hell he is doing these videos?
Watch his latest bf3 eboot video and try and figure out how he is doing this:
-Signed into PSN from boot up; requires latest FW, so can he still be on 3.55? or even a debug console?
-No bf3 disk in the ps3; running from external usb hdd
-Has installed homebrew packages
-Game boots up and logs into multiplayer
-Quits game and returns to XMB
I'm thinking about the TV icon, that's the only discrepancy I can see. But after reading into it, apparently the TV icon appears on certain PS3's only after you have logged into PSN? If you google search, you will find people who say the TV icon is missing after a while and have been told to reboot to have it reappear again - which is exactly what is happening in Tuhta's videos.
I'm a skeptic, so i'm looking for evidence here of how he is faking it. Without discussing the evidence of why it is fake, we are nothing more than "denialists"

Hint? Timeframe? The suspense is killing me here. I don't want to get all hyped up just to learn yet another generic FPS will be playable, are we at least talking widespread implications?
