can someone please explain why these are being posted. it takes less time and effort to upgrade to the newest firmware than to wait for these patches to be made...

The argument seems to be people thinking they'll lose their PSN content and too lazy to use reactPSN on 3.55 or resign games 421 that need it. So lazy people basically. (they'll also say they dont know how, but thats no longer a good excuse as I have 2 or 3 tutorials up on crunch and perhaps one on here on how to resign PSN & use reactPSN for 421+)

I never understood why so many people made a big deal about this. I actually put rap2rif on my PC, ran that get idps.pkg on my ps3 and then signed my .rifs on my pc. I actually played with reactpsn as well but found the pc method just as easy (Helps that I am an old CL type guy).

It can be a lot of work though, as I actually did something a little different. I used a HD cloning tool and cloned my PS3 500GB hd to another 500GB hd. Then on the clone drive I deleted all my .iso and game install data and built a PSN content drive. Then I can just swap out drives and either have my .iso content games or my PSN content games. This does seem to work fine by the way. I think I used a program called HDClone pro to do the cloning.

In addition I am on TB so when you mix in the TB eboots I have to chase down, the dual drives, and all the PSN content to fix it actually would be a lot of work. I am not that lazy but just don't have the time to deal with it all, so atleast for me the 3.55 eboot fixes for newer games is usefull.....PS I don't know why the hell I have all this shit in that I spend so much time hacking/modding/collecting that I rarely seem to play anything anymore

PSS...thanks patbat though for all you do and I think I followed some of your guides in the past and you have answered some of my questions here. I know you don't like us gnarly eye patch types but I never do this stuff for profit and I do buy a crapload of content and own just about every system ever made. I am basically preparing for the apocalpyse, so when all video game knowledge is lost I will have a bomb shelter with a solar generator and you are all welcome to come over and play any system ever made and about every game ever made........frightening!

You prolly followed the rap2rif guide at least (being im the only person I know of who wrote a tutorial for it), and thank you. It can be hard work, but I and many others have done most of the hard work for you by writing tutorials.

i don't think resigning 100+ psn games individually is something that is simple to do, it's time consuming and too long, why upgrade when 3.55 works just as good anyway? i don't think i will get anywhere reasoning as to why i am staying on 3.55 but thats my choice and my ps3.

the community is unhelpful and unwilling to help if anything goes wrong you are pretty much on your own, i don't want to take that risk so i would rather stay on 3.55 which works fine for me.

Yes it does, I've been playing it since the weekend on my 3.41 dongle. Just download the fix from here...
