BLES00683 confirmed working online by himshie over at HAX.
Let me give you a tip. Download the latest full version of multiman 04.09.00 or 04.10.00--it has to be the full version. Now go and install aldostools ps3tools exe. After you are done installing that. You will be able to check which eboots are compatible for your 3.41 CFW. Just double click the eboot.bin file and a new window will open letting you know what it's signed with. You will also need to extract the eboot.bin from a pkg to see what it's signed with. You will have that ability once you install those tools. Just right click the pkg and select extract.
Please learn to be independent. :)
I have not installed 007 v1.01 update, perhaps it just fixes bugs online--I don't play online. So maybe you don't need it. But if you want to know what has been fixed, go to the official website for that game brand, and see what they tell you as what they fixed with that update and etc.
Update:
I just downloaded the pkg update and checked the eboot and param, and they are signed for only 3.55 CFW. So it's safe to say whenever you see only 3.55 in the title of the fix, then you can assume it's only being targeted for that FW. I'll do this only once. Like I said, I don't usually download and test update pkg fixes unless it helps with DLC or major fixes for offline mode.
hmm so these releases/updates are patched versions of the updates that the game devs released, is that right? or i first update the game then use these releases? sorry for the noobish questions, i actually took a break right before the game patching started to make 3.56+ games work with 3.55 xD
Good question: I see where you are confused. Let's see if I can make this clear for you.
First, of course the game updates are done by the companies that make the game. Of course any new update to any new game now is signed for higher OFW. We then have to wait until someone resigns the update so we can install it on CFW. Does that make sense now?
Sometimes we are instructed to first install the original game update and then use the fixed update to patch it so we can take full advantage of the game update--whatever bugs they fixed.
I normally only install the game backup fixes, I very vaguely install game update patches/fixes, since most of the times, they are to fix online gaming--which I don't do. I only install game updates when it's known it fixes a bug that also effects offline game-play or those that allow me to use DLC.
Thanks for the program.
I'm trying to learn to work with it but I have some doubts, when I double-click EBOOT arises information but I didnt see any information about 3.41, which is the part of the program should I use to check this? and how should I do it?
Greetings, SMCR
@SMCR, aldostools just released his latest revision of these tools: http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...dostools-2715/
I suggest you install it. If you've install it before, make sure to either delete the previous install or install over them.
Now after you have installed it. Go to your folders where you have your EBOOT.BIN files or Param.sfo files or PKGs. You will notice that now they have unique icons for them in Windows. Go ahead and double click them to see what happens. Doing that will open a new world for you. :)
If you ever have questions on these tools, please don't post it here, but instead use the link I give above and ask away. I am sure either I or someone more knowledgeable than me (there are lots more with better Kung Fu than mine) will swing by and answer those questions the best way we can. :)
