[Q] i really dont understand how to unpack a pkg
[A] all you do is put your pkg file in the same folder as my app then goto option 6 and then option 1 to unpack the pkg
[Q] how do you get content id?
[A] if the pkg file is a game/homebrew pkg file it will get it automatically and say is this your content id then you say yes but for the others you will have to enter it manually as far as getting that in the next version i will release tomorrow i will include an option in the package menu to boot up an app from aldostools that will tell you it then you just copy and paste it
[Q] how do you get package version?
[A] the package version is contained in the param.sfo but for the most part its 01.00 and even if its not and you set it to 01.00 nothing bad will happen it wont make any difference to the app
[Q] why there is a difference between ps1 games, homebrew, and data packages? how do i know what kind of package is mine?
[A] there is a difference because each package tells the ps3 what it is and how to deal with it and stuff as far as telling if you dont know what you pkg is then its probably not worth messing around with it till you learn more about pkgs and there functions etc
Is it also possible to use this app to re-sign fix pkgs?
I tried using it on a fix pkg but it tells me it's unable to decrypt the Eboot. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I've tried it multiple times selecting multiple options but I haven't been able to get it to work as of yet.
If anyone else would like to help out and try here is the fix pkg link
Thanks

thanks for answering razor, ill look forward for the next version, also i've been using a old resigner in wich u do most stuff manually but it works and doesnt ask for the kind of pkg in question... CFW_4.xx_Resigner_Script_v0.3.3b-fix1
when I try to unpack pkg it asks to enter a package name , can I use any name ?
and it ask about the firmware , what should I type?
actually when it asks for the package name its referring the the pkg you wanna unpack so if you have put example.pkg in the apps folder you would type example.pkg for the package name, it doesnt ask about the firmware if your referring to the version it asks you about you can either get the info from the param.sfo or just type 01.00 9/10 times the version will be 01.00 anyway
then you goto repack pkg once you have done that the new pkg will be in the same folder as the original pkg its name will be the contentid
Is there something out there (Homebrew app) to resign PSN games already installed on the PS3?
yes this simply transfer the eboot.bin of the psn app into this apps folder and choose a cfw eboot version
