Depends on the game. But check your settings. On XMB Settings > Game Settings > PS Upscaler = Full Screen.

Now when you launch a PS1 Game and once it launches, press PS button twice until you can get to the menu: Other Settings > Full Screen. (in multiMAN you always have to do this each time you launch any PS1 Game). With Iris, that is already set for you in the game options by default.

Tell us more about the game? Title? Region? See more here for details: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f10/iris...e-list-110430/
    PS3: Slim 320GB / CFW KMEAW 3.55 / multiMAN v04.xx.xx / blackb0x FTP Server v1.2 3.55 w/ FlashFXP 4.2.x
    PS2: SLIM & PHAT / FreeMcBOOT w/ESR & OPL 9-r651 / SMS w/PSClient v1.3.1
    PSP: PHAT / 5.00 M33-6

Changed the psx1 pal and ntsc resolution to 576p via multiman and enabled full screen from xmb menu. Now is much better but black side bars appears a little.Games that have played are us versions of mortal kombat 4,mortal kombat mythologies and thrill kill.

It's normal for PSX games to show small vertical bars on the sides even in Full Screen setting. It varies from game to game, because of the original resolution of some of these games. Some games had better resolution than others.

    Code:
    PSX Native resolution

Games are always 4:3 with any resolution between 640x480 NTSC / 640x512 PAL (the bios initialisation screen) and lower:

Horizontal: 256 (rare e.g. Dragon Warrior VII), 320, 368 (occasionally 384 e.g. SF Zero 3 but not X-Men vs SF which was shrunk to 368), 512 or 640
        Vertical: 240 (NTSC), 256 (PAL), 480 (NTSC), 512 (PAL)

Tekken 3 uses a strange pixel area of 368x480. Regardless of the screen area, the aspect ratio is still 4:3 for all PlayStation games. Very common resolutions : 320x240 for NTSC and 320x256 for PAL.
I would caution those playing with the multiMAN settings and putting their resolutions for PSX games to PAL (576 is PAL) which can cause issues on NTSC TVs. I personally feel that you should just leave those PSX muiltiMAN settings to default. You might end up with a game that may not work, and you will forget that those settings you set may be causing the issue.

576 is pal and for ntsc is 480?I think leaving default psx multiman settings the game appears overscaled to 1080p.I prefer to play the psx games in native resolutions than overscaled.

damn, i wish i had side bars. every game i start i change the screen size.

i mean, i guess it's all right cause i usually switch straight to analog over digital pad also.

i have a feeling all these settings will be fixed with the next multiman just like when we first had psx disc backups working.

iris manager only released ps1 iso loading because they wanted a feature that was unique to their backup loader so people would download.

also if iris manager never released ps1 iso loading deank would have never released it himself it would have stayed hidden indefinatly, now the question remains what else are the scene hiding from us i wonder?
If they wanted to be so unique why chose a open source license its doest make any sense. And i really dont know why all the f.. About adding a open source content to his since he give full credit for. Irismanager is great and all this flamming at both will just turn them again the scene like a whole lot of departed dev. Sure it would be best if everyone was sharing their code but for myself will never force anyone distribute is work if he does fell like it.

In a future release will it be possible to have folders for the retro files? To organize/group them into emulators. It sucks scrolling through countless NES, etc. files to find the few PS1 games. Or is there already a way to do this and I'm blind?

slightly. push square in the retro column and it'll switch between emu's. i pretty much have mine set to psx always now cause scrolling through roms in retro arch can be pretty quick.
