I wouldn't say that. An exploit still needs to be found for firmwares above 3.55, and there aren't a lot of developers doing that. Anyway, it could definitely happen, I just wouldn't say it's a matter of time.

well, then why do they call themselves 'the scene' if they do things only for themselves? this is just crap. I am really thankful for all that has been done so far, but finding out things like this just makes me angry on how selfish people can be. for now, i hope we can benefit form the lv0 keys and continue gaming with our game backups, and hopefully a solution will be found for all the people stuck in OFW.

I disagree. I really REALLY hope nothing can be done for OFW people. Merely because if everyone could jailbreak their ps3 right as of now, we could pretty be watching the death of Sony in the gaming market. I do not want Micro$hit to be the main provider of my vidya entertainment, because I like ps3's exclusives. Do I buy multiplats? No. not ever. I always back them up. But Sony exclusives I try and mostly buy them to show support. There's probably 0.1% of people like me, so Sony isn't getting shit for exclusives from pirated consoles, so they depend ENTIRELY on OFW people to keep them up.
For everyone on CFW, they deserve this. You waited patiently and kept reading, and now you get the prize. For everyone else, screw you and keep supporting Sony for the good of video games.

I disagree. Even if the PS3 is split wide open to the point that anybody could install CFW, the majority of users would still buy games and support Sony. Sure, it wouldn't be good for Sony, but they would manage until the next systems come out.

That it will be based on AMd-chips and will output 4k2k...

Before we had game cycles 7-10 years for consoles. Do you think cycle for ps3 is going to be 15 years, and then will be issued ps4?
