Yea I don't like that at all. I would think it would be Hard for other developers to develop on this CFW as well, among other things

Nah. However I did post more (useful) comments about the firmware other than just "first". Maybe I deserve a medal for that.

People on other sites are verifying that it works well, and so far the keys are free and updates are free.

After reading all of this article, I come to the conclusion that...

1: Only people that want to use PSN without a spoofer will use this.
and...
2:I hate the fact that my PS3 is new enough for me to not be able to have a CFW ( as this still requires some sort of 3.55 CFW to install.)

I think we all got spoiled with the constant progress and releases for the PSP. That's why we keep wondering at the (relative) lack of progress on the PS3 after 3.55 and the Vita in general.

I'm debating on waiting for updates or just taking the plunge and giving a shot. They've posted downgrade instructions (from their 4.25 CFW to 3.55 CFW) so it can't be all bad.

I don't mind paying for something if it does something I want it to and will be damned with I will have someone tell me what I can and cannot do with my own money or my own software. With that out of the way I think this is great for CFW owners, but doesn't benefit the majority of PS3 users whom which do not lurk in forums and play spam games - that's the crazies who have stuck with 3.55 for way too long and have started to turn into Aliens.
