The Apple Chip Team recently unveiled their latest apple modchip, the apple pro. Although the details of the mod have been few, It is said to have support accross all regions and consoles including v8.
Some close to the apple team have claimed it does indeed work on v8 units yet their mainpage states otherwise. We will keep you posted on the featurelist when we recieve all of the details directly from the apple team themselves.

I think you mean Apple Pro, not Apple 2 Pro. The Apple Pro is the newest chip, which is the picture you posted. The Apple Pro is the replacement for the Apple 2 Pro and Mini Apple Pro. They say two different things compatibility wise one their website. One says v1-v8(except dvd-r doesn't work on v8 jap machines) and the other says v1-v7.

And I get my ps2 back with one of theese babys' back saturday i'll post a full review.
it doesn't boot dvdr on a jap v8 as stated on their site.
However, from what I understand there have never been a
pal machine (39002-39004) or a US (39001) that is like the jap v8.
The latest bios on the US machines are still the MX bios.
Did anyone else order this chip ?
If it's doednot support DVD-R on japan v8 it will not work with Russian 39008 v8 like maigc 3.1 because Magic also doing same!!!
to ITMASTER :
1. JAP V8 DVD-R prob is DSP prob (dsp bios i mean)
2. i have RUS 39008 machine 090 BIOS => this machine have standard V7 DSP
3. magic chips + some clones not works because detect bad version (090 bios have differ compile date/time) => no DSP prob
4. no PAL V8 (with new like jap dsp) exist
