It seems yet another Matrix Infinity clone has come out of the gutter. However, this version seems to be using one of the latest matrix infinity firmware versions and allows games like GT4 to run with no problems.

There is also an ongoing discussion about this mod, its capabilities and a debate on the recent protection routines added by the infinity team. You can view the thread HERE

I doubt that it can be flashed with MI's firmware 1.45 and above. GT4 support already has in 1.4b firmware which other clones like Modbo also has no problem flashing it. I wonder if it can support Dev 1. If it can then it is a nice cheap alternative.

The modbo and others (including this one I'm sure) supports dev1 memory card apps.

True, but possibly tot31 really meant Dev.2, since that does require the latest firmware (so as to boot from HDD). If the new clone does handle that too, then it is very different from all older clones.

To be honest, I hope it can't do that, because if it does then we can expect a VERY long time to pass before any future firmware releases are made.

Remember that they delayed the current releases for a long time earlier, to work full-time on the new encryption. You can rest assured that they WILL do the same again if the present encryption has been cracked. Though it might even be the final straw instead, making the Matrix Team give up on Matrix Infinity support...

    Best regards: dlanor

Im 95% sure that it is just a modbo with the 1.4b firmware, unlike the 1.45 firmware the 1.4b does allow to be flashed on a cloned chip.

If microsoft or sony can't protect their chip and coding, how can modchip designers do it? Take it from sony and MS that no matter what you do it will be cracked, hacked or exploited.. it just takes time and incentive.
