Written is asm? no, no, it's written in plain old C. If ppl really want the source, I'll tidy it up and release it![]()
oh...cool!
Just basing my judgement on pixel's post![]()
Cool program. And I do believe that the source should be avaliable cause this could be turned into an AHX Player for PS2.
I just installed the musicdisk to my HDD & it loads up/runs perfectly with PS2MENU 2.26. I am listening to the AHX song called Good Old Alf (Extended).
To those who don't know what AHX is, AHX stands for Abyss' Highest eXperience it is a tracker (only for Amiga) for creating C64 like music. If you have an Amiga (or an Amiga emulator), you can download AHX from http://amigascne.org/abyss/ahx/ . If your looking for more AHX music just do a google search for AHX music, you will find some pages do have anything to do with AHX but most of them do
Errr.. There is an AHX player for PS2 in the form of the AHX.IRX I created. The source for the irx module and the ee rpc interface are both in ps2dev cvs. I'll upload a compiled version of the irx to ps2dev.org shortly to save ppl the hassle of compiling the irx (which can be a pain).
It's then simply a case of loading the IRX from within your program and telling it to load an ahx song from either host/cd/memory buffer etc...
BUG!!! ERROR!!! AAARGH!!!
Juice's tunes Myth Of Creation & You Never Wash Up are the same.![]()
Read raizon's post: that's a bug of ps2-packer. Go use the unpacked version, available at the URL he gave.
Umm, I happen to have the latest RNC-packed version.
Oh well, with 200+ songs there are bound to be some mistakes
It's just for fun...
Great work Raizor ! Oldsk00l rulez !
I have to understand more what AHX is... real chiptunes or chip samples uised by a tracker ? I'll take a look to the AHX amiga (atari rulez) website...
And I'm interested in how you have implemented it using the PS2 SPU !
Thanks to have added your player source to ps2sdk
I hope to see a day kind of AHX PS2 Rockerz as there is the truly wonderful YM rockerz.... [http://www.creamhq.de/ymrockerz/]
