Keep in mind that you cannot compare reliability/overheating issues with a Xbox 360 3.2Ghz system to a PS2 300Mhz? or Xbox 700Mhz system. Ever seen the heatsyncs for an Athlon 64 or a Pentium 4 HT? Compare that to the ones that were on 300 & 700Mhz processors. The enclosure definitely matters; I really hope that the kiosks have intake and exhaust fans of their own. The important thing is that they are designed to be sufficiently self-cooled in room temperature outside of a sealed enclosure.
Anyway, this doesn't concern me. I will still be getting a 360, but also a Revolution, and a PS3 when they release games that's unavailable for the 360 that makes it worth it. I'm just glad that Final Fantasy is probably going to be on the XBox 360.
I also assume the trends at my household will continue: XBoxes (3) are used everyday, PS2s (3 hooked up, 2 sitting around, 3 broken) maybe once a week, and Gamecube (1) maybe once a month. Same order with the next gen systems respectively.
Then again, it's all on the games. Even the Gamecube pulled a hardcore XBox fan in my household away for a few weeks with Resident Evil 4.
