Request for SOCOM v.4 offline code
Request for SOCOM v.4 offline code –
08-17-2004,07:42 PM
This is my first code request here (I think), in fact, it's probably my first post here... Anyway. This is going to be rather lengthy (in an attempt to provide you with all the useful information I can), but bear with me. Can someone please hack a jokered code for Offline Invisibility. With the code on, you can't identify or restrain anyone (which are sometimes necessary for mission completion/100% completion). Here's (what I hope is all) the vital info you'll need.
Title: SOCOM: US Navy SEALs (NTSC) version 4
Cheating device in use: GS2v2/AR2
[M]aster code in use: 0E3C7DF2 1853E59E EE88C72E BCBF9792
Code to be jokered: DE93F80E BF899B8B DE93F80A BCA99B83
I hope that's all you'll need. If it is not, just tell me what else you need and I'll get it right to you. I've been working at this for two days and still can't get anything that works. I've tried this--
0EB0FB78 BCA9????
DE93F80E BF899B8B
DE93F80A BCA99B83
0EB0FB78 BCA9????
DE93F80E E3669933
DE93F80A BB689B23
--but it doesn't work. By doesn't work, I mean the game freezes at the first Video Detail of Mission Objectives.
Ok, I think I've used enough of your time in this one post. If anyone out there hacks this code, or can help me figure out how to do it myself, please reply or PM me. Many thanks.

Assuming the joker line you posted has the correct address, the only thing you're missing is that the code needs a multi-skip joker.
E002???? 004EFB82 (unencrypted)
Replace the joker lines in your code with that, substituting the buttons you want for ????, and you should be good to go.

Maybe I misunderstood?
Maybe I misunderstood? –

Hmm... I'm hoping I just misunderstood you. I entered--
E002???? 004EFB82
DE93F80E BF899B8B
DE93F80A BCA99B83
E002???? 004EFB82
DE93F80E E3669933
DE93F80A BB689B23
--which made sense, because (duh) it IS a multiple (2) line code. After the "Updating Codelist ... Please Wait" screen went away, it went black. And stayed black.
I double checked my joker addresses (PS2dis says: 27BDFEB0, FFBF00A0, respectivley). I converted them again to be certain, and sure enough, got those same lines.
Maybe there's something wrong with my ???? values? I'm using "1A72" and "1A42" (which I'm fairly sure should be equal to Up+Square [ON] and Down+Square [OFF]).
You'll have to forgive my stupidity on this one; this is my first time doing any of this.
Any ideas? Again, many thanks.

Thus is wrong .Why ?
E002???? 004EFB82 -> Hex (raw address)
DE93F80E BF899B8B -> Encrypted for AR2V2
DE93F80A BCA99B83 -> --- " -----
E002???? 004EFB82
DE93F80E E3669933
DE93F80A BB689B23
IN hex
E002???? 004EFB82
202BFE90 03E00008
202BFE94 00000000
E002???? 004EFB82
202BFE90 27BDFEB0
202BFE94 FFBF00A0
You want use with Up+Square [ON] and Down+Square [OFF]
If this Joker addres Max Reverse J..
E002???? -> requested value
Up+Square [ON] = 7FEF
Down+Square [OFF] = 7FBF
IN hex
Up+Square [ON]
E0027FEF 004EFB82
202BFE90 03E00008
202BFE94 00000000
Down+Square [OFF]
E0027FBF 004EFB82
202BFE90 27BDFEB0
202BFE94 FFBF00A0
For AR2V2 With Encrypted
Up+Square [ON]

DE93F80E BF899B8B
DE93F80A BCA99B83
Down+Square [OFF]

Sorry, I took it for granted that you would know to encrypt the code for AR2 before inserting it into what you already had. I thought that was what you were doing in the first place, largely because I didn't know someone had gone through the trouble of creating a list of pre-encrypted button codes.

Ok, I entered--
1EFC7FEF BCF79605
DE93F80E BF899B8B
DE93F80A BCA99B83
1EFC7F3F BCF79605
DE93F80E E3669933
DE93F80A BB689B23
--and the game loads up just like it should. But whenever I turn the code on (i.e., Up+Square), the game freezes. Did I make yet another newbie mistake, or can this code this maybe just not be jokered?
