Hey guys, I don't know if this is the correct forum to post this question, if it isn't can a mod move it please
After seeing the discussion in the HDD compatibility forum about Xenosaga 3, I wanted to know if it's possible to replace the english voices in DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and 2 (Sparking and Sparking NEO! in JAP) with the japanese ones.

About a year ago I tried to replace the sound files from the american DBZ Budokai 3 with the european files that contained japanese voices but it didn't work, the voices were all mixed up.

Can it be done with Tenkaichi?

    Thanks

The reason the voices messed up (at a guess) is probably because the offsets within the voice files are different between the versions. What I mean is that the various quotes aren't the same length in both languages. You'd probably need to hex-edit the game to fix that, and there's no single method that works for every game.

Depending on how much text there is, you might consider just playing the Japanese version instead. These "un-dub projects" never work perfectly.

I think if you have a Japanese save file, you might get Japanese voices in the game. My friend has Sparking NEO!, but he uses a converted American save file on it and sometimes the game uses American voices instead. It might be the same for Tenkaichi 2. I could be wrong but it wouldn't hurt to check.
