Need Help converting ARMax Mastercodes
Need Help converting ARMax Mastercodes –
I am using swap magic coders disk 3.8 with built in cheat function. IIRC it uses AR2v2/GS2v2 codes for it's input.
The problem is, you can only find ARMax and Codebreaker codes for the newer games. I tried converting a few ARMax codes to AR2v2/GS2v2 format using MaxConvert 0.71.
I tried to convert ARMAX codes of a game, of which I already had the codes presaved on Swapmagic 3.8
I could convert every code just fine, appart from the mastercodes.
I have no clue on how to convert those.
The way I tried it was this:
convert this ARMAX code to Max RAW
TRNU-ZURT-P22F2 ---> 00CB83D8 1974BD89
HAV2-71MY-A234B ---> D29E6ED1 4457657D
11H5-5NJG-TV22B ---> C4112CA8 00000800
VFE7-FK9B-M32EA ---> 0C0F0094 00000001
KQEK-5ZFB-F8UP9 ---> C4000000 00010801
drop the first line
take the codes starting with C4 and convert them to F0 codes using this method:
C4XXXXYY ######## -> F0XXXXXX 00XXXXZZ
whereas ZZ = YY+3 (Hex)
so i got the values
which i then converted to AR2v2 code format
which is not the one stored on my swapmagic disk
So, I can convert codes just fine, appart from Mastercodes. So, can someone tell me how to convert ARMAX mastercodes? All tutorials I found on the net told me the method i tried, leaving me with the wrong mastercodes
thanks in advance
as the RAW (M) code. The 0E3C7DF2 1853E59E you posted is a key code to allow AR2v2/GS2v2 to accept raw codes (though most of use 0E3C7DF2 1456E7A5 these days). You don't need to convert that code to AR2v2/GS2v2. It's only used as way to get the AR2v2/GS2v2 to accept unencrypted codes. Whether or not that works on toxic OS cheat system or coder, I've no clue. At any rate, it's proper use is as follows...
That's a screwy armax (M) code anyway. Often times you can simply get away with using only the main (M) code, which in this case is...
Address + 3 on the LAST digit...
Converted to AR2v2/GS2v2...
If you come across armax (M) codes like the above in the future, try just using the actual (M) and leave the other junk out or go to gameshark or codebreaker to see if they have any codes and use their (M) codes. 9 type (M) codes follow the same rule. Change the 9 to an F, copy the address over to the value and add 3 to the LAST digit only. Then convert from RAW to AR2v2/GS2v2.
Oh and I don't know what tools you are using but, use MaxConvert to convert all encryption's to RAW, other than CB7+ and CB2crypt to handle the CBv7+ encryption (need to register).
thank you. I didn't even notice I had half of the original Mastercode in my result
All I didn't have was the keycode thingymabob (without which SM Coder doesn't seem to work)
thanks for your help
