UK Pal VS AUS Pal & Mod Question
UK Pal VS AUS Pal & Mod Question –
08-20-2005,12:34 PM
Hey Guys,
I have 2 questions please.
1) Am i able to play DNA$ patched Australian Pal Games on my UK Pal PS2, or is DNA$ country specific as well.
2) Also another question please, just to clarify, i have read many times that when playing original games on a modded console the chip needs to be turned off otherwise it will be detected and not able to play online. But when playing a DNA$ patched back up the mod chip needs to be active otherwise the back up won't boot, so why isn't the chip detected.
Please could somebody poist some feedback.
Many Thanks in advance.

You can play any PAL games, real or dna$ patched, on any modded PAL console and old ps2 with ilink that can have it's region changed to pal. The second question, not sure but I guess original boot code will allow the modchip to be detected while backed'up copy will have most chip turn off after booting the game. Just turn it off when booting the real game which can go online.
