is the ps slimline network adaptor different than the reglular fat one?

Networkadaptor is always included in every ps2 slim.

no he wants to know if the network adaptor for the chubbie ps2 that u buy seperatly that only goes on a chubbie ps2 that can use a hdd different from a network adaptor that is built in to the back of the slim console.
