Setting up PS2 to play online

Just decided today to start playing online with my PS2 but cant get it to work, so any help would be great cheers. What i want to do if it can be done is do it through my wireless router and my laptop. I have dsl and have my zyxel modem going through a linksys wireless router then my laptop set up for wireless, What i want to do is have a Ethernet Cable going from my laptop into the back of my slim PS2 and connect like that. Can that be done?

Hope someone can help me out tried google but didnt get much.

Cheers wrathofpyro i found that guide but still cant get it to work, do i need
that networ access disc? or will the network wizard in a online game work. im using fifa 06 to try and connect and it just keeps sayin connection test timed out.

yes you will need to set everything up in that tut first then start ur ps2 using the setup disc(network adapter) then go online

i never got a disc with my slim ps2! thats a bal$$ would i get it from sony.

Thats odd it should be inside the box some where.

^^^wtf?The tut teaches you how to use your notebook as a wireless hub anyways I made a backup of my network adapter disc after reading this lmao.

Oh and mayby you can find a friend with the same type of playstation(broadband only or broadband and dial up) and borrow his disc.
