    Ok..

    I am in the Uk, a few games I have are in NTSC, I am guessing that I cant go online with these and have to have the PAL versions?

    If someone could clear that up for me that would be great

    Didnt you ask this same question on AfterDawn? Cos it's been covered there often enough.
    Anyway, you can get online with them, if;
    1. You patch the disc with the appropriate US disc ID
    2. You have one of the old 'fat' PS2's (v1-v7) & use Paradox' Machine ID Changer to change the internal console ID of your PAL machine to a PAL/NTSC Hybrid so you can play games from both regions without the 833 region error.

    Actually, I quoted the wrong error code. Happens when you've got all those error codes memorised.

    Anyway, since you ask - an 880 error is a hardware error. This is happening because you cannot play online games from the HD, unless they are specifically HD compatible, which has only been for 2 games; Resi Evil Outbreak & FFXI.
    Also, that dial-up connection is gonna cause you hardware problems, since the majority of games are broadband only, so you'll either not be able to connect, or you'll lag like hell.
