ps2 to wireless network

I am trying to get my ps2 on a wireless network. I connected the ps2 to an access point which is recognized by my router. When I tried to make the settings using the network access disk it didnt work. I tried connecting the ps2 directly to the router and it worked. For the ap i tried using manual and automatic settings with no luck. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Well usually people don't use access points to make their PS2s go wirlessly. They usually go through a laptop or a bridge. Hey can you look at the settings inside the AP?

i got nearly the same problem. ich have the wireless-g game adaptor
made by linksys. i tried to configure it but i couldn't make it.
i connected this adaptor to my computer and used the software
from cd. i did it step by step but it don't connect to my wireless router.
my router has a password 128bit crypted WEP and DHCP.
my problem is that i can't say the linksysadaptor don't need a fixed ip
because it will get one by the router (DHCP). the other thing is
that i cannot type in the password to connect to the router.
what am i doing wrong?
plz help

mmm tough

u could try the newest linksys software

u can type in a fixed IP even with DHCP, i have this with my linksys print server

just make sure the first 3 sets of numbers are the same

EG, PC ip, 534.123.564.1
then ure w/g game adaptor needs to be
534.123.564.xxx

xxx can be whatever (not 255 or higher though), higher number is better as you are unlikely to use the higher IP's, somthing like 150

my 2wire router still picks up my linksys print server on its home network screen, even though it doesnt allocate the IP

And then u can use a web browser for more advanced config of it, the auto setup thing can be a bit lacking like this, for you using dhcp would be better, but not neccisary
