I have a CC 1.1 with the newest firmware and I'm wondering if it is possible to play PAL backups online with an NTSC system? Do they do some sort of IP address matching or should it just work?

Ps2 console have an individual machine ID, PAL ones are different from NTSC ones US and JAP. You have to change it with the "Machine ID changer", go to backup-scene.com for more info.
There's no '-' in the URL though. Just use the link in my sig. And thanks for the recommendation rainrix![]()
just patch the pal DNAS id and thats it. im able to play socom 3 PAl online with my matrix infinity. and i didnt change anything in my machine at all.
Thats how ya do itOriginally Posted by SubZero06
@ Sub0 : It's a bit strange, so you play on the PAL network? I guess it depends on the server but i don't think you can play all PAL games online with your NTSC console. You know that there is a specific DNAS error for the hardware region Id.
Yes, it's an 880 error. Not many chips can bypass the region check, only ones with firmware updated for DNA$ region bypass, such as Matrix Infinity.
i think is because i have a matrix infinity (lastest firmware), i can play socom 3 PAL online and i don't get any errors.
i went to other forums and they said it works with the messiah 2 also.
I guess the chip patches the memory during game, is it possible to do the same thing with codebreaker?
