online setup with neo 4 modchip?

having troubles installing the setup disk for the network adaptor on my ps2.
i have a neo 4 modchip and scph 30002 model machine (early ps2)
after i make all the setting and do the line test which all work fine then when i try to get online inthe central station to register the machine just locks up.
maybe its to do with the modchip? anyway to disable a neo 4?
any help would be great.

i'm not sure what your problem is. i have a neo4.1 in my ps2 (version 1 or 3), and the network setup disc that came with the NA worked fine..

i believe most games now will set up your NA for you if you dont have a config file already on your MC.
