    I have 2 PS2s both with network cards, and a 10/100 switch.

I was wondering if it's possible to have games play locally on the LAN without having to go online?

Can we in that case use this thread for listing games that can be played on

    > LAN(without access to Central Station ),
    > which requires WAN(with access to Central Station )

Just want those that are tested and known to work with NIC on LAN with the option

    > have to connect to CS
    > does not care about CS( Central Station )

due to dial-up connection that is.
Only my v5 has iLink, v10 does not.

3 questions here for the gurus:

    1. how can i go about setting up and playing PS2 games via LAN? what equipment, software, etc is needed?

    2. assuming i find out the answer to the above question, i have an interest in playing my PS2 version of Star Wars: Battlefront against 4 of my friends in a LAN party sort of thing. only 1 of my other friends has Battlefront. Myself and another have modified PS2s, the others are vanilla.

Here's the question....can i make a backup of my original Battlefront to use on my system, allowing one of my friends with a non-modified system to use my original disc to play via LAN? We aren't interested in playing on the net, just in house.

    3. Is there a way to play online without my original disc in the system? Will it cause my original disc to get blacklisted?

    thanx all!

    1) Xover cable( optionally hub/switch if you want to connect more boxes ) between to PS2s.

    2) Some network games allow for LAN playing, some require you to connect to Central Station.

    3) No idea, however out of pure logic if you are not online, where could it be blacklisted?
