Network Adapter(urgent) –
Is there a PAL / NTSC difference between network adapaters? IE, will a US network adapater work in a EU ps2? is there any difference at all? (apart from with or without modem)
you see i'm in australia and am buying a network adapter from the US.
Bid on US network adapter closes in a few hours.
thanks for any help
no. I have a Jap ps2 using a US NA. just go for the cheapest if you are bidding or buying one.
my sincere thanks for your quick reply
HYPERSONIC are there frys electronics stores in australia? i just picked up an adapter for 20 bucks at frys.
nope unfortunatly. i hear frys is very good. i'm planning to pick one up for around the US$20 mark
are you getting the one with the modem input??? If u are, let me know if it works in aus
yeah i'm getting the modem input.
i don't have an modem isp (i'm on 10mb cable), but i can input my home phone number and see if the ps2 rings it

do you need to boot the network setup disc with your chip disabled? cause obviosuly it's a different regeon. i have original magic gate MC etc etc... so that's not a prob
dunno if it would help but i got the original pal setup disc which should work with the NA, but as far as disabling the chip goes i dunno, I've never actually used it as I don't have ethernet, and hdloader didn't need it.
