messiah 1.0 chip

hi everyone i have a little question about messiah 1.0 chip
is it possible to play online with ps2 network adapter and having the messiah active? and if not; is it possible to disable the modchip or another way to play online (without ripping the chip out of the playstation 2) after all the messiah 1.0 chip doesn't have sleep mode? 8/

As long as the game you're trying to play doesn't have DNAS protection then you can run your PS2 with the chip on. If the game has DNAS you're just out of luck.
