madden 06 problem

i'm new to the whole online with ps2 scene, so excuse me if i'm a little uneducated.

i'm trying to play my backup of madden 06 online and everytime it goes to do the dnas check it hangs. it never authenticates, but it also won't let me exit out, so i have to reboot. i thought perhaps it was just something i was doing wrong, but i tried another EA game (timesplitters) and it worked just fine. am i doing something wrong?
i'm using a straight connection from my cable modem, to the ps2. no routers, no ports to forward. nada

im with a some probleam...

but with me is with all EA Games...when i ill try create a "EA Account" in EA Nation...

PS : im using original games, but some peoples using backups can play online without probleams...wtf ?

Update:

i found that one of the files on my disc hadn't been patched, which is why it would freeze. i made another copy, but now i get a 613 error?

The DNS resolver response is invalid. "DNAS Error (-613) A network error has occurred." Please double-check your network connection and/or network configuration.

i've a speedstream 5200...
my probleam finish when i disable a "Attack Detection System"...

my modem have a firewall and Attack Detection System , but if not desable a "Attack Detection System" and disable a firewall, i cant play ea games online...

see if your modem havent others protections...
