I Have Killzone Platinium Edition Pal and when i want play online i have "medius error" anyone know's what that mean?? i have ps2 90004 cb and my network configuration is alright.
Assuming you are in the pal region, the disc could be a bad disc, I had kz here in the US and it failed DNAS for no apparent reason on an unmodded console, picked up a new copy and it worked. The original copy looked like it was in fine condition- just a bad image press I suppose. Also, you're talking about kz 1 on the ps2, the title mentions kz 2... just an fyi
Oops sorry my bad. My killzone pass DNAS but after that "medius error" is showing and i can't do anything only disconnect

If you pass the dnas check then there's probably nothing wrong with your network hardware and it's just a disc reading problem, like I said, it depends on the ps2 version and it could possibly be the disc. (hint: <-- tell me your ps2 version and if you've used burned discs in it often)
I had a lot of problems with the other disc I had, even loading textures during gameplay.
I got to a point where the game wouldn't even progress story and I hit an invisible wall in the compaign because my system couldn't read the disc right, but it never stopped and said there was any type of disc read error, kind of odd, but ultimately annoying as I couldn't finish the game.
I installed it with lordbogami's hdl_client through my desktops dvd drive over my network and loaded it up with hdloader and it ran fine *yay*
once I got my second copy of the disc, the game ran alright, but I still had some small texture loading issues, things getting blurry, then comming into focus 10, to 20 seconds later, at least the game is playable on hdloader and I'm fine without the online.
as I said it might be a problem with a some retail discs of kz, I've tried mine on multiple ps2's with 2 different copies and I get similar problems , it may just be a coincidence, I dunno, never heard anyone else complaining
gl to you - try it with hd loader, see if hdloader can copy the whole image to the hdd (if you're using homebrew of course) and if you get any disc read errors, if that doesn't work try loadbogami's pc app too to rip the iso, see what happens
My killzone is new and orginal and without a scratch. i have ps2 slim scph - 90004 cbwith free mc boot. but when i want to play online i remove free mc boot and playing with another card. i have used verbatim dvd's on my ps2.
I would... send the game back ASAP and get a replacement, might be a bad press. If you take the FMCB memory card out, it should be clear, if not, completely power off the machine (unplug it, keep it there unplugged for a couple minutes) and plug it back in. If it doesn't change, you *know* it isn't any trace of FMCB messing it up.
just my two cents..
i have had many problms getting online with Killzone for the ps2.
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt :S
Wait wait wait, are you using FMCB with your original? Maybe I didn't understand you originally.
I know for a fact that Killzone (the only game that I know of) detects any memory modification (FMCB) running in the background be is ESR, HDLoader, or FMCB; even if they were "terminated" after the start up of the game.
It's something Sony put in place with their hack detection system with Killzones servers, which is totally separate from DNAS.
Use Killzone online without FMCB loaded and I guarantee that will fix your "medium error"
...you never mentioned you're system's MC was modded![]()
hmm, i am still using my Killzone PAL, with DNAS patch and ESR patch succesfully online.
killzone online was working glitchy already, even my original disc...
