Join Error on Socom II

When I try to connect to a server on Socom 2, it says join error, and I have to reboot my ps2 to get rid of the message. Anyone know how to fix this?

I tried to join again and it said it detected me using a cheating device twice in a row, so it kicked me off for 1 hour. It must be detectingmy duo 2 se, but that doesn't make any sense.

yes it does , i dont thin k the duo2 se turns itself off (stealth) after it boots the game, i just got a matrix infinuty installed so i plan on seeing if it can play socom2 without beingt detected becuase it offers a stealth mode

if you hold reset it turns off the chip, and it still detected it

its not the mod as this even happens to ppl using the swap crap; its more likely detecting the file thats patched which is giving you the error.

best thing i can suggest if you really wanna play this game online is to buy it and its a greatest hit so 19.99 or less isn't bad

this is the only game as far as i know that does this lucky enough

I rented the game and it was doing this to me, but I somehow fixed it

If you are using the DNAS patched backup it will give you that error. It will say that you are cheating blah blah blah.
