    Hi, I've just ordered a version 7 PS2 off ebay and just want to know the available options for hooking it up to the Internet/Network for Online play. Do I need to have a physical network cable plugged in or can I hook up a USB wireless network adapter card from D-Link that I have? Does it have a Windows type OS for it for installing drivers, etc ???

    Thanks

    "In the Past" Do you mean older PS2? or the PS2 network has changed? Can I get this "offical network adaptor" wireless? Where can I get one? The PS2 off ebay does not come with software. Where can I get the equipement to go online with?
    Thanks

    @ retro - The USB wireless network adapter I'm talking about is;
    http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=268

    Ok, so what I need then is the Official network adapter and a wireless ethernet bridge. That should work correct? Does the PS2 have a web browser?

    if the "official" sony network adapter doesn't come with the set up disk......there is no need to worry. Most online games let you set up an account to play online. I know ESPN 2k5 does it.

    So no set up disk needed.

    this works, but the browser kindof suck

    "Start the Network Access Disc
    Go to "Get Connected"
    Go to "Advanced Options"
    Choose "Configure External Network Device"
    Select the settings file
    Type in this net address 217.33.205.103
    You should see the Brookfresh homepage "

    When you say Start the Network Disc you mean the disc that comes with the official network adapter correct?
