Your question is kind of vague. Are you asking how to play a game online? As in any game? Although I never looked at them, I think the NA comes with instructions doesn't it?
Are you on broadband or dialup? I've never configured a PS2 for dialup, but broadband is pretty simple. Also, what are you talking about when you mention "ftp"? An ftp site has nothing to do with getting the PS2 online...
sorry i want to set up my ps2 to play games online ( i have no startup disk) and i want to be able to ftp stuff to my ps2 mc and hdd so i need to set up everythin but i have no router
I don't know anything about ftp'ing stuff to your PS2, but let's tackle one thing at a time.
Give us a specific game you are trying to play and do you have broadband or dialup.
ok im not trying to play any game i just want to set up my network adapter without the network disk
Well, some games have the ability create a Network Setup profile (that can be saved to your MC) when you try to get online.
Have you tried to boot a game, get online, and see if it asks if you would like to created a Network Profile?
I still don't know if you are on broadband or not.
yes broadband
Soooo, hook the cable up from your modem to your PS2 and try to play a game online, if the game doesn't have the option to create a Network configuration, then try another game and keep trying until you find a game that will allow you to create a Network configuration.
ok i used socom to set it up but i set everything to auto is this a problem
If it works, it works. For most broadband (specifically cable) the options are set to auto.
