and spend money on a game that more then likly sucks hell no. im so glad i got a modded ps2 the best thing i could of done i have lets say a big selection of games to choose from and most of which i wouldnt pay more then the dollar i spent on the dvd. there are only a select few games that i would really buy and to pay 50 bucks is out of the question i have better things to buy. the console id changer is really not needed unless you are getting ids from the internet, which is getting harder and harder to find, rent the game and get the id from that and unless 100+ ppl are doing the same then your not going to get banned, ( since im the only one that i no of that has a modded ps2 near me im not worried of getting banned)

this is beyond buying games really. As I understanmd this could be used to play games of a different region than your console, online.

So if you really want to go the legit way about this , you`ll need to buy another ps2 of the same region as the game you wanna play.

I'm sorry but your arguements just fall flat on their face

First of all, if you'r that interested in playing x game online, then you are most likely going to have played the game offline first.

Secondly, if you have a large selection of games you hate so much, then stop pirating everything in sight. Only idiots use that arguement in such a way. and if you really have better things to spend your money on, stop buying so many discs for games you won't even use

Thirdly, not everyone happens to advertise the fact they have a modded console. What you do with your machine is of course up to you, but don't assume no one else has the same idea.

Having a US or PAL ps2 doesn't stop you owning the game does it? Yes you have a legitimate point about buying another machine from a different region, but frankly, there are many MANY more people who are just going to use such a tool as an excuse to get even more "backups".

I want to use this tool to be able to play 007 EoN and RE: Outbreak online. Only the NTSC versions of this game have online mode, and I live in Europe.

Having a US or PAL ps2 doesn't stop you owning the game does it? Yes you have a legitimate point about buying another machine from a different region, but frankly, there are many MANY more people who are just going to use such a tool as an excuse to get even more "backups".

u dont get it if u own a legit import , first of all you cant play it w/o a chip and even if it is chipped u cant play your legit copy online , unless u buy another console of the same region of them game. so if u wanna go all legit and be able to play all your legit games online u need to by 3 consoles , for every region. and u know some games dont come out for all regions or dont have online cabailities in all regions, like outbreak as mentioned only US/JAP version have online mode , if ur a PAL person you`re screwed unless u can afford to import a second ps2

and this doesnt get u anymore backups really , just widens ur options , u`ll be able to play your legit imports online

If someone is going to be able to change their id to save buying another machine, they are hardly likely to bother with a legit copy are they?

I get it perfectly fine. Although some peoples posts are just plain hard to read due to the marathon sentances and bad attempts at grammar

It's okay trying to justify changing id with machine regions, but let's face it, very few people are actually going to be doing it compared to the masses who will just have an excuse to bootleg more games. I'm not against such a tool per se, it's just that DNAS is the only thing making some people buy the odd game. Some people are just after what they can get
