Compatible headsets

Hey guys I'm in the market for a headset mainly for Timesplitters: Future Perfect use, and most likely other fps' online. Is there a list of pc headsets that are compatible with the ps2? How would you know if a pc headset is compatible with the ps2, w/o buying it and trying it out? I'm really looking for one that's based on the ear, and not the ones that go around the top of the head.

According to the Wikipedia, any headset that supports usb-audio may be compatible.
