Hi, I have a softmodded old style PS2 with NIC and HDLoader, and was wondering if there was any software or procedure available to me so I can copy these saves to my memory card? Thanks

If you look in the homebrew forum you'll find a subforum dealing with 'Unofficial LaunchELF' (AKA: uLE), which is a program that has all you need. When you set it up for networking properly, and run a matching program (ps2client.exe) on your PC, then you can browse files and folders on the PC just as you can do with all normal PS2 media (memory cards, CDVD, HDD, USB sticks).

The abilities of the uLE FileBrowser include two different methods for gamesave backup handling, in addition to normal file/folder copying. This is needed to preserve gamesave attributes that would be lost if just copying gamesaves as normal folders with normal file content. Those 'extra' methods include support for one of the formats used by commercial gamesave devices (PSU format used by EMS devices).

    Best regards: dlanor
