Transfering game saves over with ExectFTP
Transfering game saves over with ExectFTP –
I want to download game saves and put them on my memory card but I do'nt have a dexdrive or nPort or any of those other game save transfer things. I can transfer files over to my memory card using ExecFTP. But when I try to download any gamesaves they are in a .npo or some other format. Is there anyway I can extract the gamesave files out of that and manually put them on my memory card using ExecFTP. If so how would I go about doing this. Thanks for you help.
Thanks a lot for you help. I got it to work now.
how do you transfer saves with ftp ........come to think of it how do you ftp to the ps2?
in which directory i must put the files?
The numbers and letters used for the ps2's gamesaves are the SLUS/SCES #'s of the gamesave. Some gamesaves only have these numbers so knowing your games' slus# can be helpful for this.
You can always use nport too. It's just a free elf file and you run it through ps2link. It uses NPO format files, which the aformentioned ps2savebuilder can easily convert to/from the other formats. As was said, you can use execftps but you have to create the folder on the MC with the proper name.
