Question RE: PS2 Saves
Question RE: PS2 Saves –
It's me again.
So, my friend has a PS3, and rather than unlock everything on the game "skate." himself, he just downloaded a save from some site, stuck it on a USB drive, and then transferred it onto the PS3. Voila, game 100% completed.
Now, obviously PS2's are not PS3's, but I figured that with FMCB and uLaunchELF I would be able to do something similar - I had noticed PS2 save games all over the net before I got FMCB/uLE.
Apparently, it's not as easy as downloading a file, sticking it on a USB drive, and then copying it to mc0. Everywhere talks about xPort and MaxDrive and all these things that cost money.
Is it actually possible to just copy PS2 save files from a PS2 memory card to USB and then copy them to another PS2 memory card using FMCB and uLE? Or am I living in a fantasy dream world? :P
Would love some help/info on this, cheers
Never mind about my first post - I discovered how to convert pretty much any save format to PSU and then use PSUPaste in uLaunchELF. Sorry for the useless thread :<
If you still have any problems getting game saves downloaded from a site to work on your PS2, read this old post.
