Maybe this has been posted earlier but it broke my heart today. When I deleted some save's through Max Memory it corrupted all my other saves, making them useless.

So just when I was about to finish the fifth chapter on Seperate Ways in Resident Evil 4, BAM! - It's all gone...

although I don't cheat often (rare), I like to use codebreaker; I have little experience w/AR Max but if the files are compressed it may show as currupt data in the native ps2 browser, can you still see the folders on your memory card?

Sorry to hear that bro. I know what's it like to loose all your game save data cos it happened to be as well.

I'll still pretty new with PS2 cos I only got my set last week. I'm now playing MS Saga - A New Dawn (I love Gundam and Mobil Suits).

I also got a MAX 64mb memory card. Problem is it saves like an ordinary 8mb one. I can't go beyond the 8 mb. I shows 64mb when I'm in the PS browser screen but the game doesn't allow me to go beyond that. So what good is a large memory if you can't use it?

This bug has been present in the software for at least two years, which is why Datel deleted their forums in August of 2004, because of massive numbers of complaints about it flooding their forum, rather than just fixing the bug. It triggers if you use the Move or Delete commands on a file on a storage device, corrupting that storage device. You can make it usable again, but without your files, by pressing Square when selecting a source device.

Common sense with third-party memory card and save management programs is to not use any functions of the software that the official interface can do on its own. Thus, only delete files from memory cards in the Browser, and only delete files from the USB drive on a computer. Th only commands oyu should ever use in the AR MAX Memory Manager are Copy and Uncrush.
