Gamefaqs ps1 saves into ps2 slim through launchelf? –
Hi. I need a way to transfer some gamefaqs ps1 saves into ps2 slim running matrix infinity. I have the ulaunchelf app installed on the memory card. What i need is something that will convert saves into raw ps1 saves. Please help. Thanks
I dont think you can put ps1 saves onto the memory card of the ps2.
I have a ps1 memory card as well.
You can store PS1 files on PS2 cards, but PS1 games can't access PS2 cards, so a PS1 card is always needed to play the games.

Such saves are normally repackaged two ways. First into a specific save file format (different from the raw one), and then into a ZIP or RAR for internet transfer.

A PS1 gamesave always starts with the two ascii characters "SC", which appears as "5343" in hex. So that is what you first look for, to establish the start of the raw save. Next you use the fact that a PS1 save is always a precise multiple of 8KB, which is exactly 8192 bytes, or '2000' as hex offset.
Armed with these facts it's quite simple to 'cut out' a raw save from a file in another save format and save it as a new file that can be used on a PS1 MC. But to make the game accept the save it must also have the appropriate filename. Sometimes this can be found in the 'header' section of the save file you downloaded, but you don't really need it.
Just make a save with the game itself, and use that name for the file you want to 'import'. When you copy that file to the PS1 memory card it will replace the one you saved anyway.
I hope the above is enough to get you started.

Is there a way to transfer ps1 saves using EXECFTP?
would be trying it myself but I saw that I'd waste probably too much time to try it myself
EXECFTPs won't show PS1 memory cards only PS2 cards show up in the mc listing.
