    Hi

I tried to modify a ps2 savegame the way I modify PC savegames
I've downloaded the savegame to my PC, changed the related value,
most time money, and saved it back to the mc.
Unfortunatly the game, resident evil 4, won't load the savegame
It tells me the savegame is currupted.

Are there any checksums I also have to change?

    Cheers,

Some gamesaves have them, might even be all of them.

Try downloading the checksum repair tool at PS2 Save Tools

I personally find using a decent hex editor to be better for finding checksums.

Get a plain save and one with a very minor change (such as a single option) and compare the two, you should easily find the minor change and any checksum if one exists. Repeat with different saves with minor changes if it's not obvious at first.

Hex workshop has a great collection of built in checksums, so if you can get hold of that I'd suggest giving it a go

Always work on the raw save files rather than the container formats such as .xpx/.max/.cbs/.psu etc
