I am sorry to have to ask this, but I am hitting my peak of noobdom right now. I have spent about 2 hours reading through posts on this board, and while I have an idea of what to do, I am not 100% sure. First of all, could someone please post a part list? (I have a v7 ps2 if it helps).

    I know that I need...
    SX28 chip
    a 1mF cap
    a 100 nF cap
a murata CSTLS5M00X53-B0 resonator (the text file for actually said part: CSTLS50M0X53-B0 but when I searched on digi-key I didn't see that so I am guessing that it is just a typo and the 0 and M are mixed up)
    a 33k resister
    a 22k to 33k resister

The text file for the reduced wireing code also mentioned something about useing FUSE=7F1, FUSEX=F7F. I'm not sure if this is a flashing mode (when writing to the chip, or what), and my search of google for this turned up very little.

Anyways, is that all of the part I need (aside from the board to put the stuff on and wire)?

Also, is there a place where I can find a diagram on how to install this chip in my ps2?

Thank you for all of your help. I know I'm a noob right now, but I know several people who will help me with the installation (and a very knowledgable in this area), so once I figure out what all is going on, they can help me with the actual creation of this project.

Well, I found an answer for the question about the fuse and fusex, and yes, those are settings when flashing the chip. I guess that my biggest question right now is, do I use the solder points from the magic 3? I read something about switching A and Z, and also that I should use the W from m2. Any comments on this?

U must use exactly magic3 diagram and connect ONLY indicated chip pins in the TXTfor 17 wire code . It will work
If u plain to use ICE09X code u need also the messiah2 W point near bios chip that isn't the same used on original magic3 diagram .

Thank you very much for that responce. When I make this mod chip, I think that I will create a very detailed tutorial and post it here for others like me to read.

there was someone who offered to build them and sell them to people. There should be a post here for it. Otherwise, there are a few links to programmers in that same thread.
