v9/v10/v12 using very long reset dies
...my english ... ehmm ... I hope to succeed to explain ... I go
:chinscrat I have the suspicion that the defect that regards the pstwo is of the same nature of v9 and v10 PS2 and perhaps it is'nt a unintentional planning error.
A customer has carried me a ps2 v9 I had modified some time before (without Romeo-mod),.
It was dead not reading nothing.
He said me that perhaps to break off it had been its wife
She without necessity had pressed reset until the appearance of the logo.
From that moment the ps2 had ended to read.
:chinscrat The thing seemed strange for me but it remained in my mind.
The customer bought an other PS2 ( :D sony very happy one ...) and on this, before to mod it, I have intentional to experience the reset botton as it had been told me.
I have started the ps2 without disc holding pressed reset for approximately 12/15 sec and I remained very badly when to the successive starting with disc I noticed that the console was not reading to more nothing.
Unfortunately I made this test when the seal of guarantee had been already removed and therefore  I have had to buy a new ps2 to deliver modified to my customer (Sony still very very happy one  ), this time with the Romeo-mod
I task that to lower or to limit the signal level for example with resistors (summOne fix) or using diodes (matrix-mod) is not to face the problem to the root. Also using the pic508 that puts consolle in power off when the coils could burn, it does not seem one definitive solution.
I have told this experience because perhaps it could to address better the searche of a solution, I hope it.
While someone could make some test (if the console as soon as is bought and in guarantee) to press for a long time reset botton and seeing what succeeds (sony less happy ...)
