As you can tell from the subject I'm having probs with my SX Blitz programmer, I'm unable to get my pc to recognise that the blitz is connected.
I originally bought it in haste not really having a clue how to use it.
Typical me, jump right in an work it out as I go along (or try to work it out in this case!)
So far I have connected +5v (pins 2 & 28) of a SX28AC/DP chip to +5v on a v3 ps2. Then Ground (pin 4) to Ground on the PS2.
Then I've connected OSC1 of the Blitz (via theheader pins) to pin 27 and OSC2 to pin 26. Then VDD of the Blitz to +5v on the PS2 board at the same point as the SX chip conects and VSS goes to Ground on the PS2 board, again same point as the SX chip connects. No other pins on the chip are connected to the board and no other components are connected to the chip.
I have no real idea if this is correct.
I've worked this out from the few posts on the blitz I have found here and 3 photos I have found on a website. (thanks for those Crackerjack )
My problem is that no software can find the blitz on either com 1 or 2. I've tried ICPROG, ProgSX and SX-Blitz's own. I know +5 is getting through to the header pins as I've checked vi the solder point on the blitz just next to the VDD text,
Can anyone confirm that I have this set up corretly? Am I missing some thing or am I totally on the wrong track?
Sorry for such a long message but wanted to get in as much info as I could for anyone who may be kind enough to offer assistance
