Problem with Magic_Ice tools.
Problem with Magic_Ice tools. –
I downloaded the tools and the 0.90,0.87f. I read the FAQ and unziped everything in a folder. I run make.exe and in the end when it executes sasm I get an error saying "Couldn't find magic_ice.bin". I hope it isn't a very stupid mistake and I'm just wasting your time. BTW if I create a fake txt with the name magic_ice.bin the process ends but I'm guessing that's not the way to go. Please help me.
I would like to thank all the people who provide me with the information on how you can build homebrew modchip. Especialy the people behind the coding.
I'm currently trying to gather the parts for the Fluffy2 programmer. My past experience is building the JDM84 programmer and moding my PSX. I hope new and improved codes continue to be developed. As soon as I build the programmer and mod my PS2 I will post my results. Thanks

I edited the makefile to look like this:
# make rce_magic3.bin then rce_magic3.hex if win ok...
sasm.exe /P SX28AC /F BIN16 $(TARGET).sx
# del $(TARGET).bin
ren $(TARGET).obj $(TARGET).bin
# del $(TARGET).map
# del $(TARGET).sym
meaning I put a # in front of the
and the run completed succesfully. The question now is if the hex is good.
With this options n the define.inc
PS2_BIOS EQU BIOS_V3
can anyone confirm whether or not this hex is valid?
Thank for the help. On the FAQ it didn't say anything about having to edit the makefile.
