possible patch?
would it be possible to patch the logo files in the bios, i see the patch for the CD, but is the animation part of the bios, or is that in the disk as well??? basically what i'm asking is, if it's possible for someone to write some code to add to a magic code or something and patch the PS2LOGO (think this is the bios part that contains ps2 logo info) part of the bios.

Get the PS2logo edit tool. Go here.

The logo is deffinately on the disk, so you need a chip. You'll get the entire bootsector, logo and all, of the boot disc only, if you disc-swap.
I just stared messing with that logo tool. It changes it, but I get a complete distortion of the image. I use iso's instead of bins, but it works...sort of.
If anyone has this one down, a little help would be most appreciated!!

Go to the News section, there's a whole thread about this.

yeah, but i believe the animation is a bios function......if you make a game without the opening logo, it still does the splash, but the logo does not stay up, becuase there is none on the disk, and like the patch tool, you see the playstation2 splash, then it shows your logo, which makes me believe the animation 1/2 is in the bios, but i don't know where to look other than extracting the bios, and checking the ps2logo section, but since i do not understand code at all, i can't do anything
