Now that Guichi has closed the magic2 thread i think its time we begin to look into the codes posted above and as SniperKilla said, we should begin to discover our own things and possibly find a way to make a homebrew magic2 mod.

What would be better is to try to Eeeprom it. I couldnt do it, but I know one of ya can![]()
is it possible to burn a no swap modchip hex on a eprom?
hmmm if this is possible where to get the diagramm?
Sweet, and where do we buy the components? And I cant fidn a price there. Can it be done to program actels aswell?
Sorry if those are stupid questions but I mean I see no "Buy" button on that site.
The xilinx part could much likely be replaced with a eprom or flash of correct size, but it would make it a 40-50 wire install.
One thing that I think is possible is to solder a flash to the underside of the motherboard. At least on V5 ps2 there is space for a 44-pin flash, the by pulling CE high on original flash we might be on our way. That would make a very clean install.
Then to make it work as no-swap you could connect the scenix or an origa/nova.
This is just a theory of mine, but it should work. I don't have the money, time or equipment to try this![]()

Programmer for the xilinx can be built easily, check http://warmcat.com/milksop/
I don't know about the scenix but maybe an old 16c84 programmer will do?

You could always try Fluffy2

Seems like a quite comprehensive SX programmer.
Im new to this stuff, So I need to make the Jtag cable then what else?
